like, laverne and shirley ideas. it's a really fun town. it's got a really cool vibe and it's a great city. pete: the brewers. it should be fun with a team called the brewers. rachel: can i say something? the last hour we talked about my daughter's birthday on the 6th and i didn't want to get induced because she was supposed to be induced on the 5th, and her name is margarita, anyway, i got an e-mail from a woman who says -- [laughter] you're not going to believe this. she said that the she had the same thing happen to her. she said -- [laughter] appreciated your story about being induced for your daughter margarita, thinking ahead for the college years. i did the same thing. i could have been induced with our youngest daughter on st. patrick's day. however, with our last name being o'brien, i said, no, that gives her a right to party way too browning. imagine that 21st birthday. so i induced four days later. so paulton o'brien -- peyton

[laughter] pete: a lot of moms thinking the really hard -- rachel: about 2221. anyway finish 21. let's move to because this is a fox news alert. anti-israel rallies continuing to plague if college campuses across the country. that includes protesters at the university of southern california refusing to leave their encampments overnight. will: the demonstrators are now disrupting dozens of college commencement ceremonies including this one at the university of michigan. pete: it did say your name, not mine. madeleine rivera joins us with the latest. hey, madeleine. >> reporter: hey, guys. a lot of schools ramped up in light of the protests, but disruptions were cheerily still -- clearly still inevitable. pro-palestinian protesters interrupted the proceedings saturday. you could hear some people in

the crowd booing them here. [inaudible conversations] [bleep] [background sounds] >> reporter: the protesters were removed after, it doesn't awe appear that nip was aarrested. not the case though at the university of virginia just two hours from here. 25 people were arrested over the weekend after the university's president, jim ryan, said the protesters didn't follow policies. the demonstration was peaceful when it began on tuesday, but ryan says things took a turn friday when the protesters made a public call for others to join. sate and local police had to step in after some demonstrate theres got physical and refused to leave. watch here. [background sounds] >> reporter: and in chicago 68 people were arrested on the grounds of the art institute. they were charged with criminal trespass to property. police say they too refused to comply with requests to leave

and move if to another location. now it appears the site is clear. [inaudible conversations] all of this could create a snag for the democratic national convention this summer. that's because some pro-palestinian protesters wan to hold demonstrations outside of the event. a group of organizations are suing the city of chicago alleging their first amendment rights are being violated. they say the city working with the democratic national committee is exercising its authority to deny these organizations respective applications for parade permits within sight or sound of the convention. they argue the city's offer for an alternative parade if route 4 miles from the event is an attempt to protect president biden from their message. if will, rachel and pete. rachel: thank you, madeleine. pete: that's exactly right. moving the protests 4 miles away is pause they want to avoid what just happened at university of michigan. will: what happened at michigan

was right in front of our next guest at yesterday's graduation, vinny joins us now. finish so, vinny, tell us about what's going on at michigan and tell us also what you think the greater sense of the university is, the students, towards everything taking place. >> yeah, absolutely. i apologize for my rough voice. it comes from yelling at these protesters during my graduation ceremony that was interrupted. i apologize but thank you for having me on. wanted to clarify, the protesters were not removed prosecute event, and they -- from the if event, and they remained for the entire duration causing a massive disruption are. it was not brief. i was seated about five rows in front of them for the vast majority of the commencement ceremony. they began disrupting when the secretary of the navy decided to speak p i got up on stage and then a banner overhead flew that said free palestine, divest from if israel. these protesters, about 100 in number, decided that they wanted to interrupt the commencement

ceremony for 8,000 graduates and their families. aye been a lifelong michigan fan, a supporter of the university for my entire four years and already it's my dream school. and if to have this happen to me in the most important day of my four years is really troubling, and i'm just really speechless with what happened. will wisconsin vinnie, i'm -- will: vinnie, you look familiar. were you also part of a viral video this week where you confronted a pro-palestinian protester at the university of michigan? >> i was. there's been a large encamp canment on our campus for who weeks, and the university administration as done nothing to remove it. they've had ban ors displayed that say long live the intifada calling for a violent genocide against white people. they want it systematically eliminated and, frankly, i'm not willing to stand for that on my campus. so i took it upon myself to remove tease genocidal posters that are do displaided against

school policy on university buildings. i are are removed one of these, and an agitator decided to confront me. don't think it went terribly well for her considering how viral the video's gone, but i think it shows these people just hate america, they want to destroy our values and they don't believe in the free speech of everyone. pete: yeah or, benny, i think these kind of protests disrupting the graduation have a counter-impact. rachel: i do too. pete: you're ruining it. this is why we can't have mice if things. go protest somewhere else. so the university low allowed them to stay the entire graduation? were hay making noise the whole i'm? that would be disruptive throughout. >> absolutely. the university made it clear at the beginning several weeks before the commencement started that no flags, no ban ors would be permittedded inside stadium for this exact reason, yet a hundred of these individuals got up with their a palestinian flags, anti-israel banners and gathered in a large group and started chanting from the river to the sea, palestine will be

free, long live intifada, calling for these violent uprisings against the jewish people. and yet the university did not enforce their protocol. i spoke to university officials at the event, i spoke to police, and they condition confirmed they were violating these rules, yet they did not take the action that was necessary to remove them. the only way that i was able to listen to have the remaining half of the commencement was by having an usher move me and my friends, but that didn't help the other people seated around the protesters, and i just don't understand why the university and president isn't taking the action necessary to remove these anti-american, anti-israel individuals from the commencement and the broader university. rachel: you know, benny, i mow it was a big day for you. it was also a big day for your parents. were they there z well? >> they were. rachel: as you guys process what happened yesterday, by the way, i'm a parent who went to the the a graduationer is ceremony like this at a big university, and i would just be so angry as a parent. i paid, i paid for that event. i paid to be there after a so

many years of paying and supporting my daughter. i would be furious. tell me what your parents' reaction is and also if they have any regrets. i mean, i attended a summer at the university of michigan. it's famously liberal. and so are there any regrets that they have about really in some way whether they acknowledged it when they did it or not, we're all supporting, you're supporting with your financial collars an institution that did exactly what you described, did nothing. in fact, enabled people who have no respect for just being civil. >> yeah. it's true. my family's been supporters of the university of michigan for my entire life. my parents end went to the university of michigan, my grandparents went to the university of michigan. we love the university of michigan, and it's becoming a university that, frankly, we no longer recognize. this was our our fear for months, that this was going to happen, and yet it happened and nobody did anything about it. so i think we're questioning our support for the university moving forward.

rachel: good. pete: we all have to, that's the hard part. we love our alma mater, but if it's turned into a marxist camp where they're rowing revolutionaries to do whatever they want, it's time to reconsider. benny, all of that aside, you deserve a graduation in peace to be congratulated for an accomplishment -- rachel: we're proud of you too. congratulations. i wish you had lost your voice from the partying instead of yelling at protesters -- [laughter] but with we're proud of you, and we hope that somehow, you know, can i just say? if a lot of these kids that are graduating also, you know, didn't get a graduation from high school and had a lot of other things disrupted because of covid and that tyranny. so, benny, congratulations. sorry that happened. will: thanks, benny. >> thank you. pete: all right. we move now to another fox news alert. mexican authorities reportedly saying an american surfer and two australian friends who went missing last weekend may have been murdered in a a vicious carjacking. rachel: chanly are painter joins us with the details. >> or good -- good morning

being. three people arrested include two brothers and a 23-year-old woman who were charged in relation to the cities appearance of the missing surfers in baja, california. the woman was said to be in possession of one of the missing men's dr peppers, and this comes nearly -- cell phones, and this comes after the three men vanished during a is surfing vacation near the port city e of ensenada. invest investor s suspected foul play after finding the trio's abandoned tents is and burnt white pickup if truck. local prosecutors say the men were murdered during a violent robbery telling australia's 7 moods, when they tried to get the victim, opposed the robbery and, apparently, the the victims were shot. on friday investigators discovered three bodies dumped in a 50-foot deep well while searching near that site. friends ec test it is are underway to identify the the remains as the missing surfers, but now one of their friends are

thank you, pete. well, this morning the state of iowa is refusing to back down as the biden administration threatens to sue over a new law allowing law enforcement to arrest and deport migrants, illegals who enter the country. iowa attorney general brenna bird joins us now. it's so great to have you on. so let me see if i understand this right. it is now going to be a crime for iowa to enforce its own law about illegal immigration? >> yes. yes. iowa law makes it a crime for somebody who's been deported before to be here in iowa illegally and allows our state and local authorities to enforce that raw. iowa -- can that law. iowa's had to do this because president biden has completely failed. rachel: that's right. so the federal government -- by the way, biden has so many problems, i'm really surprised that what he wants to do is go after iowa for trying to enforce a law that people wanted. so that's a big, you know, head

scratcher for me. so can iowa sue the federal government for not doing its job and then the iowa having to do it for them? >> yes. well, i mean, we have sued the federal government multiple times over biden's failures to enforce our laws and constitution. but here, you know, the federal government is threatening to sue iowa for doing the job the federal if government won't do, securing the border. you know, if that administration spent half as much energy actually securing the border as they do suing those of us that are upholding the law, we'd be in a much better situation. rachel: yeah. it's super revealing of what the biden administration is doing that they're, they would go after you guys. so what have been the consequences for iowa? if iowa's a farming state. i'm going to assume that some people in the farming industry maybe like having illegal immigrants. but clearly, the main citizenry has has voted for this, so what are the consequences? why are people in iowa upset about all this illegal

immigration coming to the state? >> yeah. well, first of all, let me say this, iowa won't back down. we will defend our law even if the federal government is going to sue us. yeah, iowa has an immigration problem, and it's -- we're not a border state. we're a long ways from the border, but now every state is a border state with the border so out of control. iowa's being impacted by human trafficking, crime, all the illegal drugs and cartels operating freely on both sides of the border, and we are worried about suspected terrorists who are intercepted at the southern border. we're all a lot less safe, and biden's doing nothing to uphold his constitutional responsibility to secure our border of we remember what it was like when we had a secure border with president trump, is and we want that back. rachel: yeah. it's interesting that in iowa, as you said, not a border state, but this issue of the border being wide open is now top issue in iowa. >> yeah. it's a law enforcement issue. and it is impacting iowa. it's the impacting a lot of other states too. the iowa law, i don't see why

like, how has it changed? >> yeah. so the change for us is that we have really good working capital, and inflation has dug into that to some, tent, right? --, tent, right? so as our raw material prices go up, we have chewed new that permanent working capital, and there are definitely times where we are having to use credit cards because as i -- we're on a growth trajectory here. we're trying to have 30% g.o.a.t. at the moment, is and in order -- growth at the moment, and in order to do that, that means more kegs, more cans. everything's hitting at the same time. is and so certainly credit cards have become a part of the plan. will: right. >> even if unexpected. will: is that the same at the coffee shop? having to use credit cards instead of working capital? is. >> yeah. yes, good morning. so sense 2019 when the covid happened and all the struggle and and then start with the inflation and all that, so, you know, and everything become

expensive and, you know, we have to use credit card and we have to use, you know, loans and stuff like that. and, you know, the it's harder to pay, but we have to pay. so i add more hours, you know, to open more hours to be able to pay the credit card and loans. i work mostly, you know, every day to try to cover, reduce the work, try to add, you know, many things to the store to just try to make the money. so i think biden should focus on that, and if he can do it -- can't do it, he should resign. will wisconsin yeah, wow. i mean, so inflation rises the cost of doing business, harder to come by capital, therefore, you have to use credit cards, and now you've got interest rates that you've got to fund on top of that feeding a cycle, i would assume, of having to raise prices, ben. >> yeah. so i think raising prices is always something we've been reluctant to do. we try to absorb it by building

efficiencies in our business. but certainly we can't do all of that, so is prices do have to go up along the way. but in general with, we're just working harder and working longer and making it work. will: ben, mara, i'm sorry, if you have to raise prices, it's what everyone else is doing can. 28 of small businesses report -- 28% of small businesses report raising prices, 25% said what you said, end e nation is the biggest problem for business. >> so we're a small business, we're a small corporation, okay? i can't put the coffee for, like, you know, couple bucks more. we can raise the price 505 credits, a dollar? because if you put the prices crazy, people are not going to boar buy from you. where is the money in where is the taxes we're paying? biden make us live slave in a circle, take our money and just go put it in ukraine, israel and and give it to other country endead the of giving to own
