or other watches are very helpful because they provide patients with a very quick alert system for them to see a health care provider, if not for the alerts on her watch, jessica says she would have just gone home and taken a nap instead, she credits the apple watch for turning her life around. even when it sucks, it feels good. since the health scare last may, jessica has dropped 100 pounds and adopted a healthy lifestyle training to run her very first marathon. this weekend's potomac river run in d.c, which falls exactly one year at mount sinai since she was discharged from the hospital. god bless. that wasn't even crossed my mind. jessica has been documenting her journey on social media to inspire others to pay attention to their health. and you'll notice in all the videos she's wearing, her apple watch and she certainly will be for all 26.2 miles. i absolutely will be. yes, i'm never taking it off. i take it off to charge and that's it. wow wow. incredible. okay, now this view from the sierra

north, central and southern part of the state, running about 92, about 100% of that average for the time of day. and remember, this provides our snowpack, our water supply as we go on into that spring melt and further on into the summer season. as far as what we can expect here locally with our temperatures and our trends this week, we are going to clear out and start our monday morning with those chilly 40s. so bundling up, cranking up the ac a little bit, and as we go on into monday and our tuesday, sunny and breezy, similar to what we saw today. so those winds are going to continue to pick up our allergies around here. i'm sorry about that. but by the time we get into the middle part of the week, we're looking at that warm trend feeling like summer. and i'll show you those temperatures in just a second. as far as tomorrow's temperatures, it will be just a touch warmer as we go on into those upper 50s and 60s. along the coast, bayside, those upper 60s, and maybe those low 70s. as we stretch way inland into the fairfield, later on into the afternoon, our wind

speeds not only with the allergies, of course, but maybe monday is laundry day. not a bad idea to save some energy and hang things outside as we go on into the afternoon, wind gusts at around 15 to 25 mile an hour winds and then calming down into the afternoon. and then as we go on into tuesday, this will carry us into more of those 70s as we make our way into parts of santa rosa, martinez, down into the santa clara valley. those low 70s and not too bad along the peninsula in those upper 60s. but here's where things start to take a change as we go on into the middle portion of the week, we're going to build this ridge of high pressure. so that's going to clear our skies, bring down those wind speeds a little bit and give us ample sunshine. so how are we looking with those temperatures by the time we get into wednesday some spots already in the low 80s, such as santa rosa over on into concord, and maybe trying to get into those 80s down into the south bay. but really, i think the warmest days will be as we go on into thursday and friday. so i'm happy that we had a little bit of that weekend rain, because

that's subsiding the fire concerns there as we go and feel more like summer there into our friday kicking off the weekend, making those mother's day plans. hint, hint everybody. and as we go on into the next couple of days in san francisco, watching out for the breezy conditions at times, but then 70s in the city, watching a little bit of a cool down as well as we go on into next weekend. but i'll take care of that. you take care of looking at these temperatures 60 to 70 to 80s. so i'm just happy to deliver this for anybody that is looking forward to those warm summer like temperatures getting warmer. beautiful. cynthia. thanks you're welcome. up next, flavor flav eyeing the olympics. how he's helping one team make it to paris.

are really cool because they bring a lot of the local chinatown community in people that used to come to this theater when they were children, and to bring more people into the neighborhood. there's a popular star wars burlesque parody which is coming back this summer. they brought 40,000 people into chinatown over the course of three months. every day it was sold out and the line was like a few blocks away. and the vertical show a poll, an aerial performance featuring world poll champions. is why i'm the producer. i'm the director, and i'm an artist and performer in the show as well. paulina volchek, also known as pink puma, travels the world performing. she's been back to great star theater six times. every vertical show has been existed for probably five seven years at this point, but we were always looking for a permanent location for this amazing sporting show. i really love the theater. i enjoy the stage, and

i think this theater deserves to have much bigger show and bigger opportunities. so this is the backstage. this is stage, right? we've got our amp rack over here . this is the rope. so we are a traditional proscenium theater. we've got all the backdrops up there. wait hand manually. yep, yep. this is the altar that the chinese opera still prays to whenever they come in. this is kind of a makeup area, but the main changing rooms are downstairs. down here was actually really gross. alice actually painted this this mural here. wow this is more than just a theater. so many people have a story about great star. it's revitalizing a community. people started coming by, you know, like older chinese people that, you know, they'd be like, oh, i used to. my uncle used to work in the concession stand. i used to come here and watch kung fu movies every day. so it's exciting to be able to balance, you know, giving the community a space for the community and bringing people to the community, which helps everyone else in the community. it looks

many people are still trying to dig themselves out from the overnight storm. on friday. people say they were wearing shorts and t shirts, but today they're using shovels and snowblowers to clear parking lots and paths. some places got more than two feet of snow in what could be the last storm of the season. here we are, may 5th or may 4th. yesterday and there was a, you know, two feet of snow. so you got to get your snow blower back out, clear your driveway to get out of your driveway. so you never know what will happen here. indeed there they go. storm avon short, but it was strong. today has been the snowiest day of the season in the sierras. so one of the lines in that last story was that may have been the last snowstorm. i think so. maybe at least for a while. and it was

only fitting. may 4th star wars day. the force was strong with that storm out there. but we're going to be transitioning to summer by the end of this upcoming workweek here in the bay area. we have a couple of seasons this week, actually, and let's start back a little bit with our drought monitor. we haven't checked in on here a little bit. and as far as the state goes, just a few slithers out towards the corners that just remain abnormally dry. but for the bay area, we're going into the second spring in a row to completely drought free. so that's some good news there. after that weekend storm, as far as our headlines as we go on into tonight and early on into the week, clear mornings, cool in those 40s and breezy and mild will help us go into the workweek here. so those allergies will still be picking up. i'm sorry about that, but we should see some calmer conditions as we go on into the late week. actually starting to feel a little bit like summer as we see some upper 70s to some low 80s as we go on into our inland valley. so to start our monday morning up into the north

bay is where i'm looking at a couple of spots that might dip down into those upper 30s. so we're cranking up the ac for our monday morning commute. i know it's going to be a struggle to get out of bed, but the good news is, and the thing that's going to be helping us just get through this week is that that dry weather is going to continue on into the weekend as well. as far as our temperatures for tomorrow, just slightly warmer than what we had today. we'll do low 60s along san francisco and the peninsula out towards the east bay. we'll do 69 in concord and maybe stretching it into those low 70s as we go on into fairfield for our monday afternoon, we're going to watch some showers, mainly to the north. that activity is just building around our state, maybe trickling into the northern coast, but as far as drying out and warming up, we have it for the rest of the week. we will be seeing those temperatures into those 70s and 80s under this ridge of high pressure here. and as i advance this time lapse forward into saturday and sunday, we're looking at a bit of a cool down here with more of that coastal cloud cover. and then behind that, we'll watch

what happens here after we go on past mother day, mother's day. so you have a couple of days to get ready for that. let me show you what the temperatures do in places in santa clara. we're going to go from 60s and 70s to start our workweek to those 80s and looking for the sunglasses, the warm, outfits and the hats of the water, everything that we kind of put aside for a little bit through winter and spring. we need it for this week ahead and even on into the weekend. we could be looking at those 80 sticking around in san francisco will get into some nice, lovely weather as well as we go on and start the week off a little bit breezy, but then those 60s will transform into those 70s. there and then watching that cool down as we go on into saturday and sunday along the coast. but our inland valleys just going to get toasty day after day. here we go from 60 to 70s to some mid 80s. by the time that we get to thursday, friday and saturday. i think that's the warmest stretch of this upcoming week. and you're telling us that the coast is clear for the next six seven days. it's we're not going to
