means, the sun starts to go down even earlier, before 5:00 p.m., in fact, on sunday afternoon. torrey, we send it into you. >> thank you so much, katie. good morning, everyone, happy halloween. unfortunately, tricky situation traveling in new jersey, taking a look at live chopper three, over the scene of multiple vehicle crash on 55 northbound right around route 40, notice, two lanes of traffic moving by, four vehicle crash involving a dump truck, as well, that was caring sand. that sand has spilled on to the roadway, so we had to deal with towing away those vehicles involved, then the clean up, of the sands on the roadway, we have 5-mile back up. if you are traveling in this area you will need to give yourself more time. going to the maps, you will notice that a good alternate we have two of them for you delsea drive or willow grove road would be your best bet traveling throughout gloucester county, and expect those usual rush hour pockets on the schuylkill expressway as well as 95, no delays however for mass transit. ukee, erika? >> vittoria, thank you. eric frein awaiting justice in

pike count. >> i due in court this morning after the end of the manhunt following ambush of two pennsylvania state troopers. and this picture right here from the scranton times tribune shows frein now in a orange jumpsuit escorted from the state police barracks in blooming grover. "eyewitness news" reporter jan carabeo joins us now, at the pike county courthouse in milford with more on that, jan, good morning. >> reporter: erika, good morning, a lot of relieved people here in northeastern pennsylvania, this morning, now that eric frein is caught. he is schedule to appear in court around 9:00 this morning, for arraignment. he's facing thunder of charges, including murder, and now the district attorney wants to pursue the death penalty. >> if he got out of those woods, we were very concerned that he would then kill other law enforcement, and if not them, civilians. >> finally, after 48 days, and through the tireless work of hundreds in law enforcement, eric frein is free no longer.

>> we weren't going to stop until this fugitive was arrested. and i'm glad that it ended without any other loss of life, including his. >> frein was captured thursday night by us marshals, in a open field, near abandon airplane hangar in pocono township. investigators say, he was taken by surprise, and meekly gave up law enforce. approached. putting his hands in the air, kneeling, officials say he is juan un arm. >> did i not gave up because he was tired. he gave up because he was caught. >> strip of his guns, his bombs, now his freedom. >> investigators say frein shot and killed corporal brian dixon and seriously injured another pennsylvania state police trooper, outside of the blooming grover barracks in early september. at times, the seven week manhunt for the suspect closed area schools, canceled outdoor events, block roads. >> helicopts, swat teams all over the road. >> remembered when frein's alleged pipe bombs were fawn near his home. he said he's relieved live

we can tell two people taken to the hospital of the university of pennsylvania, we're toll they're both in stable condition. the extent of their injuries, still unknown. but this, after flames tore through the chestnut park apartments early this morning. >> for resident in west philadelphia, a scary site this halloween morning, as dozen wait to find the upper level of their apartment building fully engulfed in flames. >> i never seen a fire like this a day in my life. i never seen it. it was flames, fire, everywhere up there. >> it was just before midnight, when firefighters were called to the 6200 block of chestnut street, for report of heavy fire. >> i had no idea tag going to my home. to come see it burn down like that, crazy, man. >> samantha didn't believe it at first when officers came knock, she didn't answer until -- >> kicked that door in, i mean, he kick that door in, and the whole door went boom. when i came outside, the whole

septa bus subway and trolley service, but the union promises to give riders 24 hours notice, before a strike. >> also, a long time pennsylvania lawmaker will step down from office later today. after pleading guilty, in a political corruption investigation. state senator leanna washington admitted using staffers, and other resources, to plan campaign fundraisers. sentenced the democrat to three month of house arrest, five years probation. a plea deal allows her to keep her pension. >> i recognize, preparations of the birthday party was violation of state law. >> and i except full responsibility. >> washington was also ordered to pay back $200,000 in restitution. she spent 20 years representing parts of northwest philadelphia, and montgomery county. >> your time now 7:08. quarrel over her quarantine, nurse who treated ebola

>> this ends in huge brawl. this played out last night in washington county tennessee. the daniel boone high school trailblazers had just beaten the davey crocket high school pioneers, and things, as you see, turned ugly during postgame hand shakes. police and coaches were able to break up this fight. >> not the way it is supposed to be done. >> agreed. do have good news for resident on hawaii big island, lava flow slowed down a bit, but the threat does remain. right now the lava only burn a grassy area. we're told it has bank since june when crater opened on the volcano. crews plan to take advantage of the slow down by saturday rating the grounds with water, and foam today. trying to save those homes.

>> good morning, everyone, we've had very, very busy start to our halloween morning, very serious accident on 55 in new jersey, we give you update on that in just a second. but talk about an accident that we have on the northbound side of the blue route. just beyond broomall up the traffic squeezing by, and the accident is for the most part on the shoulder. but as you will notice, not only blocking the right hand shoulder, the accident scene up here, but just before you get there, we do have the right hand lane being block. so northbound commuting on the blue route. now between 95 and this point, delays on the accident on top of return hour traffic it, will make traveling on the blue route very, very stickiment we will continue to keep you updated on that for sure. as we continue, talcony palmyra bridge now up. that means, 73 is closed expected to happen around 7:00, a we'll let you know it does get put back on, traveling five, an update on that accident, and franklin

township, 55 northbound, the accident has now been moved to the shoulder. but you have 5-mile back up, approaching route 40, so still, good alternate would be to take route 47, or willow grove road. and regard to mass transit no major delays, looking at the speed censors, i know seeing a lot of 50's, but not necessarily, starting to see slow downs on the schuylkill westbound at city and definitely 95 making your way down toward the vine st. expressway. >> thank you. defied state of order by leaving her home. now main's governor said he is ready to takings, done champion reports. >> quarantine negotiations between nurse casey hickox and the state of maine main have essentially broken down. >> thank you guys. i have to go speak with the health department now. >> she broke her quarantine, thursday, by going on a bike ride with her boyfriend, state troopers followed hickox, but did not stop her, because they didn't have a judge's permission to do so. the state's governor wasn't

jan? >> scheduled to be here for arraignment, facing number of charges, including murder, now, the district attorney wants to pursue the death penalty. if this is the beginning of the end for very long and very instruments fest chapter for northeast pennsylvania, after 48 day manhunt, eric frein captured last night by us marshals near an abandoned airplane hangar, in pocono township. officials say, he meekly gave himself up around 6:00 when law enforcement approached, kneeling, putting his hands in a the air. officials say he waist un armed. during arrest we're told frein was cuffed with brian dixon's cuffs, taken away this his cruiser. they say he shot and injured dixon and seriously injured outside of the blooming grove barracks early september during late night shift change. since making his escape, hundreds in law enforcement have searched for frein,
